Innopolis University specialists have created and successfully tested a new drone for cargo delivery
During the tests, the drone transported documents from the university's production site to the main building, and on the way back, food and drinks from the cafe. The flight with a total range of 2 km took 4 minutes.
The 10 kg drone flies autonomously, and the operator controls takeoff and landing. The cruising speed of the device is 15 m/s.
A Telegram bot has also been created in which the user can summon a drone as a courier. The drone flies along the safest route pre-set by the operator. The cargo container is dropped automatically.
By the summer, it is planned to launch automated delivery throughout the city.
